CURRICULUM LINKS

Aspire

Our ‘Aspire’ curriculum encompasses all enrichment activities, careers, enrichment days and opportunities for students to become leaders.

Our enrichment activities run throughout the year and a termly calendar is produced for students. The activities take place during Lunch breaks and Period 6; 2.50- 3.50. Details of the enrichment activities can be found here

To support students with evaluating their current aspirations and provide support and guidance which will enable them to make informed choices about the opportunities available to them, all students will take part in an ‘aspiration’ survey each term.  Information will be collated by your child’s form tutor who will support and guide your child through throughout the year. This information will form part of your discussions with your child’s form tutor during parent’s evenings.

For the first few weeks of the year the enrichment activities run as taster sessions and students may ‘try out’ different sessions. This will enable students to find an activity that they enjoy and can get real benefit from participating in.

During their time at the academy our students will also keep a record of their achievements and experiences in their Aspire Passport. They can add details of awards, educational visits and other experiences in their passport. This will also be a point of discussion during parent’s evenings.
