Siemens Rollercoaster Challenge

The key stage 3 girls’ rugby team hosted a Walkden High School team in what was their first ever game. Counterparts Walkden, had already played a number of games before arriving at Station Road on Monday 20th March 2017.

The girls, led by captain, Poppi Cooke, put in a spirited performance and were leading the game with 10 minutes on the clock. Walkden fought their way back into the game and their ‘match experience’ began to show. Millie was rewarded for her efforts with a fantastic try in the second half. The latter stages of the game were played as ‘tag rugby’ to ensure that all of the participants played their part in what was a fantastic first run out for the ICC girls.

Extra-curricular rugby practice will take place every Monday from 3-4pm.
