Alice in Wonderland 2017

The Irlam and Cadishead College Production of Alice in Wonderland was a local ‘Tea Party’ to remember.  Year 5 & Year 6 students from local primary schools were invited to attend a special ‘Matinee Performance’ by the Royal Queen of Hearts. It was wonderful to see more than 450 primary school children enthusiastically watching the performances that were delivered over two afternoons. The show included songs from the famous Disney Musical version, such as “I’m late” and “Zip-a-dee-doo-dah.”

The three evening shows were performed in front of sell out audiences. Some parents even attended the production three times to watch their child perform. ICC staff was on hand to lend their support. The cast and directors would like to express their thanks.

The cast of 40 were thrilled to be able to showcase their impressive skills and talents in the Performing Arts.  Not only was the cast required to act and sing, but dancing was also a key part of the production. Rehearsals order imitrex from canada began after the auditions in September 2016. Throughout, the cast remained committed and professional and they were a real, credit to Ms J Blackburn and Ms K Lloyd.

The cast and directors are grateful for the constant support and dedication of the singing teachers, Ms K Toth & Mrs H Beecham. Thanks also to the staff (Ms M Gardner) and students who helped with the technical and artistic designs.

To complement the production, Year 7 forms entered an Alice Bunting competition, there were 12 winners whose designs were picked and displayed in the Performance Hall.

Feedback from primary schools, ICC staff and audience members alike was fantastic! The cast’s professionalism, energy and dynamism was mentioned again and again. The amazing set and costumes added another positive dimension to an already memorable production.
